The Big Moments: The top things that happened this year

2012 was quite a year! We definitely rode the roller coaster of life this year experiencing both good and bad things on both ends of the spectrum. One thing that never wavered was our love for each other and our ability to have fun. When all is said and done, we are extremely blessed in life and have nothing to complain about. Here is a recap of our biggest, most exciting and most fun (and some sad) events (in no particular order):

1. CAMDEN PLAYED SOCCER AND T-BALL

Camden got his first chance to play sports this spring. He played soccer on the Scooby Doos this spring and t-ball on the Transformers this fall. He loved both and actually, despite all of the falling did extremely well with both of them.

2. The Sealife Aquarium-Grapevine, TX
Camden kept asking and asking if we could go to the aquarium because he saw it on a cartoon. We finally decided to take him and he LOVED it. A few months later he wanted to go again, so we had him earn it by doing his chores. We told him that once he got 25 stickers on his chore chart we would go back to the aquarium. About a month and a half later we took our second trip there. The second time around Grayson was more aware and LOVED looking at the fish too.

3. Mommy's first 5K and the Thanksgiving 5000; Our New Tradition

I decided I needed to do something with myself, and inspired by several of my friends, I decided to walk in a 5K. I signed up for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in September and began my training process. When the day came I walked the 3.1 miles and finished the race in about an hour and a half.  Dustin then received a flyer after that about the Thanksgiving 5000 5K on Thanksgiving day in Fort Worth. We decided to sign up and do it together as a family and to make it a tradition. So every year from here on out we will walk or run/walk in a 5K on Thanksgiving day.
