Camden and Grayson will be sharing a room, and given Camden's love of trucks and cars combined with him having to give up his space, we decided to do their room in cars and trucks. I searched online and found a life size mural of a road with cars and trucks on it. I ordered it and enlisted my very talented mother and Dustin to help me do it. It turned out better than I imagined and I am so thankful for all the time that was put into it.
It started like this. You tape carbon paper to the wall and the mural over it and then trace the mural onto the wall with a pen. It's harder than it sounds because to get it to show up you have to press down extremely hard several times.

This is what it looked like when we started painting the road.

The view of the closet wall. We made this the "sky" wall. With just clouds on it. The words above the closet say laugh, dream, hope, wish, smile and family. All things we feel are important in life. These were in Camden's room when we first put his nursery together, we just re-painted them into brighter primary colors to match. We added the shelving unit on the left for Camden's clothes and books, and made him his own rack in the closet so he can reach his clothes.

This is the view on Grayson's side of the room. The motorcylce in the corner is Handy Manny's motorcycle and the in the middle of the room my mom turned the diesel into a school bus.

This is the view from Camden's side. We have a police car and firetruck also free-handed by my mom. They have a road rug in the middle of the room to play. Camden got a "new" racecar bed that I found off of Craigslist for $25.00!! We also added their names on the firetruck and diesel (p.s. the tv got moved to the shelving unit as we do use the dresser for a changing table for Grasyon now).
I hope they like it because after all the work it took us we are not re-painting it until they are 16!! LOL.
